Okay so ill start by saying sorry for giving you so much hassle the day this was due but I legit suck and I won’t bother you anymore I mean unless I like need something with technology and then I probably will but anyway. This is my DOG PARK CREATION.

This was literally so hard for me. I started like 4 different projects to do get right back to square one. But these are just some pictures of me trying to get use to it and failing.

So after I tried and failed watching you tube videos of inspiration I reverted back to my original frame that I made along side you in class.

Then I decided to make a dog park. I did use what I learnt from the youtube videos to make bouncing balls for the dogs to play with.

I downloaded a new assets pack that included the cool walls and put those along the sides of the park. This not only stops the balls from getting out but the dogs too. I did place a gate in the scene so people and dogs can enter and exit.

Here are some picture of the different elements of the park.

You have the rings on the grassy textured ground. I made the rings by using the ring asset and then changing the color/material to yellow. I placed them in the ground so they weren’t floating and then I grouped them all together so I could move them around together. After this is duplicated it so I had multiple at the park.

Here you can see the platforms, I made a couple of these because at the dark parks I go to dogs love these and they always use them. I change the color/material to a brown color to represent wood.

Here is a closer look at the walls and gate. I liked both of these because they fit with the design of the park nicely. The balls move and bounce and are yellow because dogs love tennis balls.

I KNOW ITS NOT THE BEST BUT IT IS BETTER THAN WE DID IN CLASS AND I GOT THE BALLS TO BOUNCE AND IT STILL KINDA LOOKS LIKE A DOG PARK.

Thank you for being so awesome this semster. I really enjoyed your class even though it was by far the hardest class out of all of them but I made it (hopefully with an A) and a lot of laughs. I hope I see you around campus. Thank you for everything and all your help.

SO HERE IS PART 1 AS A REMINDER!!

So i guess this was a fairly basic part I had to create for this. I designed and rendered a mirror piece for the bottom of my door to attach to the very bottom so that it covered the gap and actually I rendored it as a mirror as both my cats and dog dont like to see themselves ever in a mirror so that way if they are scared and seeing the bottom of the door they will also be too scared to even try to put their paws under. I THINK THIS IS THE PERFECT SOLUTION.

So this is how I started I measured the door and also the length of how much I could put the mirror piece to it didn’t fully stop the door from closing.

So it came out to be 31inches and I did 3cm width was this was the side I thought would be best to fit the double sided tape tp stick it onto the door.

31inches =787.4 mm and 3cm = 30mm So these are the exact dimensions I put into FUSION 360.

So I started with just a simple cube shape in fusion and then inputted the correct length and width.

As you can see at the bottom of each of the last two pictures there is the exact measurements perfect to fit the length of the door.

next I rendered the piece into the mirror feature. This is a little difficult to show on pictures but you can see it is reflecting the fusion background.

PART 3 –

So I am awful at photoshop so I was trying to be a little artistic and not totally idiotic so this is the best I could do…

okay so I know this was kind lame but it was the best I could do. I hope you appreciate the cute animals and thank you so much for all the laughs this semester!

This was the worst and I hated every second of it. This blog post won’t be much better. This literally took me hours on end a a few mental break downs and a lot of tears but I think I got something so that’s better than anything right?

Model 1 the easiest, I did this and thought wow this is easier than thinker cad (I WAS WRONG) the tutorial really helped me and I based my model off that.

Model 2- Lampshade. Started off okay, I tried to do it while we were in class.

Here is the beginning of the lampshade it was going okay I guess okay. Then It came to the hole in it. For some reason no matter what I did I could not put the hole in the bottom or the top of this stupid lampshade. I tried for literal hours and through my laptop around. I tried the shell tool and the drawing a circle but nothing worked. After I resorted to a bottle of wine for inspiration, of which didn’t really help I finally gave up. Then it came to rendering it because I figured if I could do a lampshade made of glass then it wouldn’t need a hole at the top and just the bottom but then the render tool wouldn’t work probably and I just couldn’t take it any longer.

Model 3 – I can’t even go over how long this took me. how much stress, I don’t even know how I did this. I don’t ever wanna do this again or think about this again. it took me hours.

Model 4 – Can we please stop doing these hats before they are the death of me. I know it looks funny but I tried my best and this was after minimal sleep.

Are we done with this crap now? Please never make us do this again. Its not good for my mental health 😂

FreeCAD – The hardest unit so far but i finally got it at the end and weeks of trying!

Object #1…. this we followed a basic tutorial on wiki (which in college we are told never to do so ironic?)

Object #2- Desk – I made sure to make the inside 26mm to fit tightly onto the edge of the desk, the circle around was made to fit directly to my cord for my laptop pictures. I started by drawing out the bottom piece that looks like an L shape and making sure all the right measurement was correct and equal. Then I added the top block and cut out a center circle. – you said brief right? 

Object #3 – the hardest part of this was thinking of something, I don’t know if I did it right, but I created a square type of Olympic ring type of thing. It’s the only thing I could think of I know it’s kinda lame. I draw them both out in in the sketch part. I made the hole 2mn which will fit tightly around the second square and you will have to open the hole a little to get the second piece in. Once it is secure around the second square they shouldn’t fall apart. 

PLEASE BE NICE ON GRADING. I HAVE BEEN SO CRAZY STRESSED AND LOST MY JOB IN TALLAHASSEE BECAUSE OF ALL OF THIS SO THIS IS THE BEST I COULD DO. I BARELY EVEN HAD TIME TO PUT ALL THIS TOGETHER. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE 

So at home, I have a dog, who also lives in Tallahassee with me and my parents have 2 cats. At night my dog sleeps in my room and I always close the door. Well since I have been home the cats like to cry and scratch and put their paws under my door and try and play with the dog… at 3am this leads to the dog lunging at the door trying to get the cats paws and its a mess. So I want to create something that can go onto the door to stop the cats from putting their paws under but also doesn’t prevent the door from closing against the carpet.

#7 – AVIATOR GLASSES – so you said to get an A we needed to make things unique and not basic so i made star shaped glasses that i thought looked pretty cool! you said they didnt have to be like the ones you made in class and these are just a little different. lenses are still transparent and the sides of the stars will fit the nose perfectly.

Unfortunately this week I have been battling with an illness that prevented me from attening class. I was hospitalized and sent home for bed rest. I did collaborate with my group and offered to help in anyway possible. I will work with the rest of my group to collaborate with them as much as possible before we hand this assignment in.

For me this assignment was a little difficult as I found the app inventor was really difficult to use. I start off doing the design portion of the app with some easy, however it was difficult to really get the pictures and sounds in the right places and where i wanted them.

I wanted everything centered and i just couldnt figure out how to do that. I figured out how to change the fonts and colors and picture sizes which was a way to make the app a little more appetizing. What i found most diffficult was getting the emulator to work. Downloading the emulator was difficult enough as apple made it very hard for a number of reasons however once that portion was figured out after an hour or so, the next was getting the app to actually work on the screen.

No matter what i did i could not get this to work. This was highly frustrating for me as i never figured it out. I hope i can meet with you so you can give me some guidence on this. What i wanted to be able to accomplish with this app was for the button to be pressed and a sound to play, i was able to do this on the app inventor website but not the emulator itself.

Hi! My name is Elle Newton! Im a junior, majoring in politicial science with a minor in communications. I am excited for this class as it will give me a small look into the technological field that I dont usually get to learn about due to my major.

I enjoy hanging out with friends and family and most of all my golden retriever Harper. I love netflix and my favorite hobby is laying in bed and napping.

I have like 0 preperations for this class, Im not very clued up on technology, I can just about use my macbook and iPhone, but im excited and hopefully ill get an A.
